Especially along the border and in Mexico City. If you stick to the well worn tourist areas you should be safe though.

Perhaps you should recommend to your readers, as I did, that they need to read the Stratfor Intelligence Report, the lastest is avaiable if they do a search on google for travel alert issued in Mexico, the title is “Mexico Security Memo: April 14, 2008”.

This is bad, we shouldn’t white wash this like the real estate vultures and developers and the Mexican Tourist Industry, which in essence, just keeps the Mexican people in slave work, waiting on the guerros.
