Living overseas does not allow this. Luke’s short film and the brief presentation he will make can in no way do justice to his extraordinary three-and -a-half year odyssey, that began with him suffering brain damage and at death’s door (in a coma) for two weeks and saw him drag himself back by sheer stubborn guts into the land of the living and become the Luke who will address the audience today. He stands high as a man. Those of us close to him are in awe of what he has achieved in these few years. He deserves an even wider audience.
