A great line up and one that I’ll be directing my students to from my Mojo lecture.
Thanks for the mention as well.

Nice to see your on the road snap via yfrog too! http://img145.yfrog.com/i/aii.jpg/
Photogene is another iPhone photo app that lets you do some basic editing. I’m waiting for the Photoshop app to become available.
The ReelMoments app might also be useful for making time-lapse videos.

I’ll certainly be referring people setting off on their blogging travels to read every word. Thanks

Great introduction to a number of apps I had not heard of. I;m having a hell of a time downloading new iPhone apps here in Kigali – giving up until I get to the UK – but the ability to edit photos on the go will be a great help as I find they are never quite good enough quality to upload from the spot – which is very often exactly what you want and need to do.
I have one of the older iPhones, but I’m thinking of upgrading to the 3GS to allow better image quality and video. I don’t think you can run Qik et al on the older (jailbroken) iPhones – please correct me if I’m wrong on that.
To be honest, I find the audio and video end of all this quite daunting. As you say, you do need basic broadcast nowse to make this work well. I’m not sure how confident I would be uploading audio and video comapared to pics and words. Practice needed…
You’ve inspired me to follow up on your post with a little more about how I’m beginning to distribute images and text on kigaliwire.com across the net. i think a combination of all the above and kigaliwire would be a very powerful way of reporting.
Supercharged mobile reporting?
