Black and white makes for a good story. You write about shades of grey and it becomes a history book. We are all guilty of oversimplifying. That's basically our job. And sometimes it sucks

I just got back from a lecture on Georgia where we, the Israeli Media, got our ass kicked for the simple- conflict-bad-vs-good way we covered the recent war. Maybe it's time we looked at the details, the whole picture, the background and the outside forces and interests when we cover a conflict/crisis?
(I still think Darfur is a shitty situtaion)
