How nice to come across this blog, after first coming across scunnered.com. Ah, the glory of the web. I’m a Washington Post journalist spending some time on sabbatical at Oxford while exploring citizen journalism. Like you (I think) I’m trying to steer a middle course when it comes to UGC: I don’t desire the wholesale destruction of the mainstream media, as so many utopian webheads seem to, but nor do I puff up in righteous indignation at the mere mention of blogs or “Have Your Say” comments, as so many bitter, ink-stained wretches do. Anyway, I’d love to chat sometime, if you happen to be in Oxford or London.
