Comments on: Banned TV station resumes broadcasting… via mobile http://www.beta.frontlineclub.com/armenia-banned-tv-station-resumes-broadcasting/ Championing Independent Journalism Wed, 14 Nov 2012 12:24:36 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.4 By: Onnik Krikorian http://www.beta.frontlineclub.com/armenia-banned-tv-station-resumes-broadcasting/#comment-1023 Sat, 30 May 2009 08:59:53 +0000 http://www.beta.frontlineclub.com/dev/?p=3750#comment-1023 Interestingly, after playing with live Qik streaming from mobile after seeing Guy’s reporting from the protests in Tbilisi, an opposition Hima! activist on my Facebook page appears to have seen the tests I posted and started to try it as well.
Now, the banned opposition TV station A1 Plus has started live streaming via Qik too and at yesterday’s last pre-election campaign rally both the activist and reporters from the TV station could be seen putting all this simple but effective technology into action.
A1 Plus has a Qik channel at:

Anyway, nice to see the knock-on effect. I saw Guy’s work. The opposition saw mine. Now, they’ve empowered themselves in lieu of a broadcasting frequency.
